Chi Phi Alumni

Alumni play a very important role in the operation of the current active chapter. Their main goal is to uphold and maintain the three core values of Truth, Honesty and Personal Integrity. They also contribute to the chapter in several other ways which include:

Provide Stability - To ensure the continual existence of a chapter at SUNY Oneonta by providing stability, continuity, and counsel to the active brotherhood

Maintain Housing - To establish a Housing Corporation and pursue the purchase and maintenance of a fraternity house for official chapter use.

Assist with Organizational Development - To consult, guide, and mentor the chapter leadership in order to provide an environment where leaders are cultured and nurtured through training programs and professional/personal development.

Provide Professional Development - To provide networking and job placement assistance to active and alumni brothers.

Provide Financial Assistance - To provide financial assistance to active brothers through scholarships and fee offsets for active brothers who excel academically.

Enhance Brotherhood - Provide a Forum for Alumni to have fun and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and foster an environment where active brothers and alumni can establish new bonds.

Alumni Association

The Zeta Theta Chapter has a well-established Alumni Association, that functions as an important entity both for undergraduate and graduated Brothers.

The Alumni Association of the Zeta Theta Chapter meets the following expectations:

• The association meets at least twice per year for the purposes of growing, advancing, and developing the
association as a stand-alone entity.
• The association’s leadership meets at least quarterly for the purposes of growing, advancing, and
developing the association as a stand-alone entity.
• The association organizes at least two non-meeting/social activities per year
• The association maintains and operate within current documented bylaws.
• The association operates within the bounds of the Chi Phi Personal Safety Policy.
• At least half of all dues-paying members participate in at least one alumni association event, meeting, or
activity on at least an annual basis.
